Archos has announced the Android tablets G9 series, namely Archos Archos 101 80 G9 and G9, is a tablet that runs both OS Android 3.1 Honeycomb. Tablet G9 is supported by the IT OAP 4 processor ARM Cortex A9 dual-core processor running at 1.5GHz speed. Both can be equipped with a choice of 16GB of flash memory storage or 250GB hard drive.
Archos 80 G9 has a 8-inch touchscreen display resolution of 1024 × 768 with a ratio of 04:03 while the G9 101 comes with a 10.1-inch 1280 × 800 resolution touchscreen with a ratio of 16:10. Both are equipped with front camera which can record 720p video resolution of HD, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, do not miss there's also a built-in GPS receiver and compass, built-in speaker, microSD / SDHC card slot and HDMI output.
According to Archos, G9 series tablet is a tablet only able to decode 1080p H264 High Profile video while the current standard tablets are usually not able to play 720p H264 High Profile video smoothly.
Rather than offer a 3G model with an integrated 3G module, Archos decided to release a 3G USB dongle for tablet G9. Dongle valued 49 USD is the standard 3G sticks for laptops that have been designed to be compatible with all ARCHOS tablet G9, which is able to add support for 3G mobile networks. Price Archos G9 80 starts at $ 279 and price Archos 101 G9 at $ 349.
