Nokia plans to launch 40 new phones in 2011, including at least 12 class of smartphone products. The news comes straight from the Vice President and Director of Marketing for Nokia. Nokia VP says we can expect some big announcements after mid-April. Windows 7 Phone device also in the process and if we are lucky we can get it on the market before 2011 has ended.
Note that the number 40 is the total number of handsets, which also includes mobile phones to specific countries or specific mobile operator as well (such as the recently announced that Nokia Astound). So while Nokia and Microsoft partnership will not bear fruit for some time to come and much is expected. Let's hope there are many pleasant surprises so far this year from Nokia.
