Google's YouTube Block Access To Windows 7 Phone?

Well, it would be fun ya feud Google and Microsoft to dominate the mobile platforms business. The reason has recently been circulating the news that Google allegedly has deliberately obstructed the Windows-based smartphones Phone from Microsoft is to access certain functionality and services from YouTube which incidentally has now officially owned by Google after being acquired some time ago.

Complaints objection based software giant in Redmond is officially submitted to the European Commission. In his complaint, the party protested Google Microsoft has hindered competition in certain respects, including the one in the business sector of mobile platforms and devices of concern.


In his latest blog post, Brad Smith, who served as Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Microsoft Corporation explains how Google has blocked WP7 device to be able to access YouTube as it should.


"In the year 2010 and a recent case, Google has blocked the latest Microsoft Windows Phone to access YouTube," explained Brad Smith.


"Google has let the Android-based phone besutannya yourself access to YouTube so that users can search the video category, find your favorites, view ratings and so on in a variety of user interface offered by mobile-phone-based platform is".


In other words, or rather, the devices based on Windows Phone from Microsoft is in fact unable to access YouTube metadata in a similar way as the devices are powered by Google's operating system Andorid are able to do it with ease.


This will significantly limit the features available to users when accessing Windows 7 Phone YouTube furthermore, while the limited access the service or any application-based service.


Microsoft claims that so far the ability of Windows 7 Phone relating to the YouTube plugin available on the Marketplace in fact be regarded much less if compared with what can be done by Android or iPhone.


"As a result, applications on Microsoft Windows Phones Youtube is basically just a browser that displays web site YouTube, without the various functionality that is offered on a mobile phone competitors", said Brad Smith.


"Microsoft is ready to release high-quality YouTube application for Windows Phone. We just need permission to access YouTube in a way that other phones already do, and so far Google has refused to give such permission "


According to Microsoft, this is just one of several examples that revealed that Google has hindered the competition so far and the irony of Google is also doing similar things in other areas.
