Java Script Language Groovy 1.6 Released

Groovy, a scripting language for the Java platform version 1.6 release that promotes an increase in speed.

This news was announced by Guillaume LaForge, Groovy head of development at SpringSource is the company that developed the popular open source Spring Framework.

Here is a new and improved features in Groovy 1.6:

* Improved runtime speed significantly
* Multiple assignments, optional return in blocks if / else and try / catch
* AST transformation and all trasnformasi like @ Singleton annotation, @ Lazy, @ Immutable, @ Delegate etc.
* Grape module and system transformation dependency and @ Grab
* An increasing range of Swing builder, thanks to the team's Swing / Griffon (http://griffon.codehaus.org)
* Improvement on the console Swing
* JMX Integration builder
Include JSR-223 scripting engines
* The increase in metaprogramming, such as EMC DSL, per-instance metaclass even for POJOs, and runtime mixins
