IBM Develops Mini Processor Capable of Thinking Like The Human Brain

Friday, August 26, 2011

Manufacturers of computers, IBM is now working on a project that cutting-edge technology. In collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense, they announced the project of making processors with similar architecture of the human brain.

IBM said that the processor chip will be mampi learn and understand. In theory, the processor will be able to adapt himself to the situation at hand, almost similar to the human brain.

Currently, they have been able to make these processors to be able to recognize berbaga complex shape or a puzzle. But compared with the human brain capacity, intelligence level is still very low.

This processor is very small. Inside are 256 silicon neurons, which is certainly very much compared to the number of neurons in the human brain are billions of neurons.
