MQ01ABD Toshiba 2.5 inch Hard Drive Capacity 1TB First

Toshiba has introduced the first hard drive measuring 2.5 inches which reached 1TB of storage capacity. These drives are included in the series MQ01ABD, using technology to achieve 500GB/platter 1TB capacity in a design with a thickness of only 9.5m which is standard for notebooks and other small devices.

This new technology is said to increase the quantity of data stored per inc
h over 37 percent when compared with the generation of 2.5-inch hard drive before. Capacity building also comes with improved data transfer speed, noise and power efficiency.

Toshiba expects MQ01ABD hard drive series will begin production in August 2011, but Toshiba has not announced details of current prices.
