Blackberry App World Homescreen 3.0 Beta with New & Better Search System

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

The team from RIM and lab BB makers have been working on the latest version of the Blackberry App World, which is version 3.0 and it seems they are quite happy with the results. Blackberry App World 3.0 has a new homescreen design and the apparent change from the home screen has been completely redesigned again with the priority function in the form of App World search bar. Search system allows you to sort by application name, price, rating, newest, the most suitable and popularity, in an effort to streamline the search process.
s
Underneath the banner looks spotlight; featuring the latest and most popular applications, similar to Apple's App Store and Android Market.

On the homescreen now there are five new icons at the bottom of the so-called 'top-level channels'. Two of the three icons on the 'game', and 'Themes' category is the most popular is usually sought in the App World and the option 'My Account' just gives the user access easier / faster for things like their BBID and payment options .

You can scroll sideways to see additional application information and sharing options / share.

Information about each app has now been consolidated into a single screen that you can slide left or right with, to see his summary, screenshots and reviews.

BlackBerry team has tried to make it easier for users to share applications with their friends, with quick access to popular social services such as Twitter and Facebook or SMS, email and share via the fuel.

This is a welcome improvement that helps move the image and bring more advanced BlackBerry app store that is more in line with its main competitors. RIM still need to think about how they can add the factor of 'cool' a little better, but this design brings them more up to date.

If you want to try the BlackBerry App World 3.0, currently available on the Blackberry Beta Zone. Naum so currently only available in certain countries, but the download is available here after you have signed up and if you want to know which countries are supported you can see the list in https://www.blackberry.com/beta/legal/ viewtermsAndConditions.
